Bridge2Healthcare
Bridge2Healthcare chapter at UCLA is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to bridging gaps in healthcare access by providing free virtual health services to underserved patients.

MISSION & GOALS
We seek to bridge the gap in healthcare through innovative modern solutions. By leveraging telehealth and digital platforms we aim to provide patients nationwide with free and accessible health services. Our team of volunteer physicians and students will drive sustainable change in healthcare in a large-scale manner.
With the help and skills of passionate students to provide basic healthcare through accessible digital platforms and supplement of community outreach programs, we aim to improve human health.
01
Provide Telehealth Consults
We seek to provide pro-bono, comprehensive, high-quality, and scalable telehealth services delivered by volunteer physicians, allowing us to combat health inequalities.
02
Develop Healthcare Leaders
We will provide students with opportunities to grow as future leaders in healthcare. Students will learn about the healthcare system and gain hands-on patient-facing experience.
03
Community Health Outreach
Beyond telehealth services, we will reach out to underserved communities and provide resources such as health literacy and insurance assistance so they can take their health into their own hands.
What is telehealth?
Telemedicine is the use of technology to deliver healthcare services remotely, enabling patients and healthcare providers to communicate while being in different locations. By reducing the need for travel and offering more flexible access to medical expertise, the use of telemedicine can help bridge socioeconomic gaps, ensuring that individuals in underserved or remote communities can receive timely care.

Projects

Technology Literacy Committee
The Technology Literacy Committee creates multilingual resources like YouTube tutorials, written guides, and pamphlets with QR codes to help patients navigate telehealth, appointments, medical records, and medical terminology. Members produce videos, graphics, and reference materials to support patient technology use and access to healthcare services.

Bridge Outreach Committee
The Bridge Outreach Committee leads patient recruitment efforts by assessing community needs, connecting with local shelters, clinics, and centers, and supporting data collection for impact reports. Members also engage in community health outreach projects to improve access to care.

eHealth Research Committee
The eHealth Research Committee conducts research on policy and equity in digital health. Members explore topics such as telehealth policy, global health access, digital disparities, and emerging digital health innovations and trends. Findings are presented at local shelters, during general meetings, or in internal newsletters, and committee members contribute data to impact reporting.
